1. Information we collect

We collect the account and contact information you provide, including your name, email address and mobile number. Your matrimonial profile may include gender, date of birth, location, religion, community, mother tongue, education, profession, family details, lifestyle and partner preferences. Optional details include Gotram, Raasi, Nakshatram, height and weight.

We also handle uploaded photos, interests, shortlists, messages, contact preferences, blocks, reports and enquiries. Membership records include the selected plan, amount, payment reference, verification status and membership dates. Session information and technical error logs help us operate and protect the service.

Provide only information you are comfortable sharing. Obtain the person’s permission before creating a profile for a family member. Do not put phone numbers, email addresses, identity documents or financial details in profile text, photos or partner preferences.

2. How we use information

We use information to maintain accounts, review profiles and photos, display eligible listings, find relevant matches, enable permitted communication, verify membership payments and respond to enquiries. We also use it to investigate reports, prevent misuse and maintain the service.

Free membership provides profile listing, not access to other members’ full profiles. Paid access begins only after payment verification. Submitting a transaction reference does not itself activate membership.

3. Profile visibility and photos

Approved, active profiles with visibility enabled may appear in limited home-page listings. These can show your name, AM profile ID, age, location, education or profession and an approved visible photo. Visitors may see these listings; full member profiles remain access-controlled. Sharing a profile link does not bypass access restrictions.

Email addresses and mobile numbers are not part of public listings. Photos are held in private storage and displayed according to approval and visibility settings. Hidden or unapproved photos use a blank portrait. Members can change profile and photo visibility; administrators can review, hide or reject content.

Visibility controls cannot undo screenshots or copies already made by others. Avoid sharing sensitive information until you are confident about the recipient.

4. Communication and safety guidelines

Messaging depends on accepted interests, membership permissions, the recipient’s contact preferences and blocks. You can allow accepted connections or pause incoming messages. Blocking restricts interactions; muting only hides a conversation from your own inbox and does not block the other person.

Report impersonation, harassment, scams, inappropriate content or unwanted contact through the profile or conversation controls. Authorised administrators may review reports and relevant account information. Approval or a verification badge indicates platform review, not a guarantee of identity, background, intentions or suitability for marriage.

Keep introductions respectful. Do not post explicit content, threats, discriminatory abuse, another person’s private information or misleading profiles. Never share passwords, OTPs or UPI PINs, and do not send money to prospective matches. Verify information independently before making commitments. Contact local authorities for immediate threats or suspected crimes.

5. AI match recommendations

When you request AI recommendations, your stated preferences and selected profile attributes may be processed through Lovable AI Gateway and its model provider. Candidate names, contact details, photos and actual profile IDs are excluded from the recommendation payload; temporary references identify candidates instead.

Free-text descriptions and preferences may still contain personal information if you enter it, so keep these fields free of contact or sensitive details. Match scores are guidance only, may be inaccurate and do not decide whom you should marry.

6. Payments and service providers

UPI payments are processed through your chosen payment app and the recipient’s payment service. The site records payment references for administrator verification. Never submit bank passwords, card PINs, OTPs or UPI PINs to this website or in an enquiry. Payment services apply their own privacy terms.

Hosting, authentication, private storage and optional AI providers process information needed to provide their services. Authorised administrators access member information to manage profiles, review payments, respond to support requests and address safety issues. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud or serious safety concerns. Service providers may process data outside your country.

7. Session storage and security

Browser storage and session mechanisms keep you signed in and support account access. Clearing storage or blocking essential session mechanisms may sign you out or prevent account features from working.

Access restrictions, private photo storage and role-based administration help protect member information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password, keep verification links private and sign out on shared devices. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.

8. Retention and your privacy choices

We retain information while needed to provide the service. Payment, support or safety records may need to remain after account closure for legal obligations, disputes or abuse prevention; backup copies may remain until the relevant backup cycle ends. This policy does not promise an instant purge or a fixed retention period.

You can edit your profile, remove photos and change visibility or contact preferences in your account. To request access, correction, account deletion or other rights available under applicable law, use the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity. Withdrawing optional information may limit matching; account deletion ends access.

9. Adults, external services and updates

ArrangeMarriages.com is for adults aged 18 or older who meet applicable legal requirements for matrimonial participation. Do not create profiles for minors. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been submitted so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

External services such as WhatsApp and payment apps have their own privacy practices. Review their terms before sharing information. We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The revision date identifies the latest update; this policy does not replace rights provided by applicable law.
